At My Path, we realize there is not a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to an individual's life goals. All of our services and packages are fully customizable and designed with your strengths, weaknesses, goals, and abilities at it's core.

EMPOWERING YOU

  • The Cashiers for Change program will help clients learn to operate a cash register with confidence and ease.

  • Program activities include:

    • Personalized training

    • Overcome fear and intimidation

    • Learn how to operate a cash register

    • Learn how to count money, make change, and take credit card payments

    • Learn how to scan and bag merchandise

    • Practice handling different scenarios and situations on the cash register

    • Practice customer service

    • Gain confidence in your skills

  • The Road Ready program helps clients prepare to take the MN driver’s license permit exam.

PEERS SOCIAL SKILLS

  • This is an evidence-supported, research-based social skills program developed at UCLA being taught by My Path specialists.

  • Potential program activities include:

    • Learning to use appropriate conversational skills and humor.

    • Learn to use technology appropriately.

    • Finding and keeping friends.

    • Interactive and engaging content to support learning goals.

    • Support from a PEERS-trained Employment Specialist.

FAMILY ADVOCACY & CONSULTING

  • My Path’s Family Advocacy & Consulting supports the family of people with disabilities in understanding and navigating services, transitions, and other important options & opportunities.

  • Potential program activities include:

    • Understanding Community-Based services.

    • Pursuing VRS services or a waiver through DHS.

    • Benefits coaching and understanding how employment impacts benefits.

    • Special Education (K-12) Advocacy including IEP & and evaluation review.

    • Transition Planning (early, high school, ages 18-22).

    • Exploring Independent Living and Housing Options.

    • Employment related services.

    • Long-term supports and guardianship

TECH QUEST

  • Discover and explore the world of technology and career pathways within the field.

    • Explore careers in the Information Technology (I.T.), Computer Science, and Technology fields.

HERO’S PATH D&D

  • Hero’s Path is a social group who gathers to play Dungeons and Dragons. Led by a My Path Employment Specialist, participants gain essential life skills that have been integrated into gameplay. No experience necessary- all are welcome!

  • Potential program activities include:

    • Working on developing essential life skills by integrating communication, collaboration, problem solving, and friendship building into gameplay. 

    • Collaborative storytelling that includes communicating and thinking critically to find solutions, all through the lens of the character they created. 

    • Creative gameplay in an inclusive, safe, and supportive setting.
